We're looking for beta testers for our new 6 month program!
The foundations of the Making Peace with Pain program are currently being turned into a book that will be available down the line.
To accompany the book release, a workbook-based program will also be developed and I need a cohort of lovely ladies who are living with any (or all) of the following conditions to help craft that workbook and program:
To accompany the book release, a workbook-based program will also be developed and I need a cohort of lovely ladies who are living with any (or all) of the following conditions to help craft that workbook and program:
- Fibromyalgia
- arthritis
- migraines
- IBS
- joint, muscle or bone aches
- frozen shoulder or repetitive strain injuries
- feet that hurt whenever you walk, knees that complain with every stair
- or any other chronic pain condition!
I'm looking for about ten chronic pain sufferers who are willing to really commit to exploring a more wholistic approach to addressing their illness.
These beautiful souls will be willing to take an in-depth look at their beliefs and actions towards four key areas of themselves: the physical body, their thinking/beliefs, their emotions/emotional baggage and their essential self or spirit.
No prior understanding, self work or spiritual belief system is required. Just a willingness to explore how your whole self is associated with developing these kinds of pain conditions.
This program will involve making changes to your daily routines. It will potentially lead you toward changes in your eating, sleeping, self talk, relationships, thought patterns, social engagement style, beliefs about yourself and your value, how you make decisions both small and large in life and even what you think your purpose in life is.
That's some pretty big stuff!
And I absolutely believe it all contributes to chronic illness and pain. So while asking people to change all these things is huge, the rewards it brings are really, really worth it.
But addressing all that stuff takes time, which is why this program is six months long. And that is likely to only be the start of your journey.
However, my experience has been that as soon as you begin the journey, change in health and wellness also begin. So while healing your illness may be a long way off (and for some, complete healing is never achieved), improvement begins quickly and is evident throughout the process.

Making Peace with Pain is a life changing course that offers insights into the reasons behind your pain.....we have much more control and power over our pain than we think we do.

Here's what you'll get as part of the beta phase of this program - though, as I'm building and testing the program as we go, this might change if I get feed back from you all about it that results in a change!

The philosophy behind the Making Peace with Pain Program
The human body is an amazing creature, with built-in mechanisms designed to keep us safe, well and living happily. But modern humans have developed a brain that, while allowing us to evolve beyond all other animals, has left us with a legacy of mis-firing mechanisms that leave us fearful, sick and unhappy.
The Making Peace With Pain Program takes you back to the basic elements of the stress response and the relaxation response and helps you understand how your brain is causing your body to fire up the stress response so much that it's wearing down the body's innate healing and health-creating mechanisms.
When we begin to see how we are inadvertently creating our own stress and physical decline, we can begin to change the patterns of our behaviour, thinking and attitudes, finding a deep peace within ourselves, which in turn leads to a healthier body and a happier life.
